What the Course is About:
Most practitioners in health care, including Doctors, Nurses, pharmacists, and other health care practitioners, are usually ignorant about the risks involved in their profession. Some who know little about health risks also usually take it for granted. This is one of the major reasons for the devastating toll of COVID-19 on healthcare practitioners! The medical world lost a huge number of professionals to this dreaded pandemic, not only due to the disastrous and monstrous nature of this dreaded disease but majorly due to the lazy way it was handled, especially by the main constituency, the hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and diagnostic centres, both private and public. They were all guilty of total ignorance of risk management in health care. Some were directly affected, while others also transferred it to their patients. Indeed COVID exposed what had been silently having negative impacts on healthcare practice for a very long time, with huge losses continually suffered, both material and human. This has had huge effects on the government spending on health care, private spending, and budgets of corporations and institutions; all impacted negatively because of this same hydra-headed monster, inability to manage risks associated with health care and medical practice.
